Founded in 1963 as a one-building facility, The Tel Aviv Medical Center is now spread-out over an area of 150,000 square meters and incorporates three hospitals: the Ichilov General Hospital and Ida Sourasky Rehabilitation Center, the Lis Maternity Hospital, and the Dana Childrens' Hospital. The Tel Aviv Medical Center also serves as an instructional and research center affiliated with the Sackler Medical School" Sackler Medical School and the Sheinborn Nursing School of Tel Aviv University.

Dana, has more than 17 specilised pediatrics departments including:
Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Orthopedics, Pediatric Neurosurgery, Pediatric ENT, Pediatric Urology, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as well as other out patient pediatric services such as Radiology, Pulmonology, Dermatology, Hemato-Oncology, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, and Pediatric Neurology service.
